Encuentro una luz tangible
En los cuadros de El Greco,
En el aire oliendo a lluvia
Como siempre antes de la tormenta,

En el fuego, que no quema,
En la llama, que se apaga al instante
Como la vida o el amor.

Eros y Tánatos
Son casi el mismo ser,
Porque nada cambia.
Quizá sólo la luz,
Cuando no se refleja en tus ojos,
Y pierde su brillo.

In El Greco’s paintings,
In the still air
As always before the storm,

In the non-burning fire,
In the burning-out flame,
Such as life or love.

Eros and Thanatos –
Both almost the same psyche,
Because nothing changes.
Perchance only the light,
When it is less reflected in your eyes,
And loses its shine.

Jest takie światło
W obrazach El Greca.
W powietrzu nasyconym
Najczęściej przed burzą,

W ogniu, który nie płonie,
W płomieniu, gdy gaśnie nagle
Jak życie lub miłość

Eros i Thanatos
To prawie to samo,
Bo nic się nie zmienia
Może tylko światło,
Gdy w twoich oczach nieodbite,
Blask traci.
